If you were at the talk last night where Guyren lamented the current state
of databases, there is some hope for the future. For example, FoundationDB
has lots of interesting concepts, and even more radical is Datomic, which
is an immutable datastore that doesnt ever lose data. The datastore
*itself*, at any point in time, is a value.  Imagine that!
