I'm recruiting for an experience Ruby on Rails Developer (Min 3 yrs) for a small and growing Software Development company based in Irvine. Great company, committed to working with cutting edge technologies. Their flagship product is a Model Driven Design tool that runs on top of Node.js. One application, specifically, is loaded on to laptops, and accessed by our soldiers in the field to help identify IED's! You would have the opportunity to work on really interesting projects, and join a team of brilliant coders and engineers. Key customers include the Department of Defense and the US Intelligence community. Candidates with a current or past Security Clearance, or Ex-Military background would be ideal.
Initially, you would be developing a dynamic rich client UI utilizing JavaScript, HTML and CSS; interface with web services back-end via Rails; employ jQuery, Knockout.js, CoffeeScript, GIS and Mapping UI's, client side rendering and RESTful web services over HTTP. Backend is built on a node/express backend with MongoDB for persistence. Relational databases like PostGres will eventually be added to the mix. B.S. in Computer Science preferred; Minimum 3 years’ solid experience developing software for the Rails platform in a production environment; Proficient in Rails or JavaScript frameworks; JQuery experience required; Demonstrated experience in building complex web applications.
