Hi Everyone I have been working as a consultant primarily doing Ruby web development for about 6 years and previously worked at a few large dot-coms in San Francisco. I work across the entire stack, but I definitely think that there are some areas on the front-end (primarily HTML/CSS specific work) that I would like to delegate to someone else who might be more efficient in this area.
I think the ideal situation would be working with someone who might be coming from the design-end of the spectrum and wanting to learn more about Ruby development. I'd also be interested in working with someone who only wants to focus on front-end stuff. Here are the skills you must possess: - Expert knowledge of HTML/CSS and ideally SASS also - Ability to communicate with clients clearly and efficiently - Basic knowledge of GIT (source control) - Basic knowledge of Ruby on Rails template systems (.erb, .haml, etc....) - Basic javascript knowledge - Ability to work remotely Hopefully you want to learn more about - Backend server side code - Databases - Ruby frameworks (Rails, Sinatra, etc...) If you are interested please contact me with some kind of resume (LinkedIn is fine), Github profile (if you have one) and let me know what your hourly rate is for contracting. I'd also be interested in getting contact info if you know of someone that might fit this profile. Please respond to my email ([email protected]) and not the list!
