In seven years as a Rails freelancer the majority of my work has been
overflow/rescue work. I have taken over projects under all sorts of
circumstances, from friendly and controlled to "Help, my developer won't
answer his phone or email!". Enough of this work has come my way that when
RailsRescue.com became available, I decided to use it.

So maybe you know a Rails project that needs handing off to someone else.
Any version of Rails back to 1.x (believe it or not, there was at least one
of those still running a couple of years ago). Working or not. Friendly
client or one someone just can't wait to get rid of. I've dealt with them
all, and only had to fire one.

Or maybe your shop gets inquiries for projects smaller than can be handled
efficiently, or that won't fit in the current schedule. Or a client needs a
small amount of work occasionally, but doing it is too disruptive to
steadier projects. These work for me. I have others who can help me out
with larger projects.

I moved from Encinitas to the Charleston, South Carolina area a year and a
half ago, so it won't be convenient to drop in to a local San Diego client,
but I have lots of experience working remotely and convincing clients that
it can be done. And lots of success at doing it.

Please contact me if you know of a possibility.

Thanks,

Scott Olmsted
