Hello! Long time no post! I am the guy that got on stage a few months ago and showed you the video of the beer shooting robot and then explained why writing jQuery is the new smoking. Since then, many things have happened, we hired some great devs, wrote some great code and I acquired a really poorly behaved Yorkie.
We also got even more work so we need another Ruby on Rails developer! I added the link and description below, but just take my word for it that it will be a good time. We also need a Project Manager so if you know anyone, please send them this link! (https://airspacetechnologies.bamboohr.com/jobs/view.php?id=22) Even if you just know someone smart, that doesn't know how to code, that is mildly interested in software, send them over! I would go to some sort of PM meetup, but I actually cannot think of anything worse than that. Ruby on Rails Developer https://airspacetechnologies.bamboohr.com/jobs/view.php?id=17 Airspace Technologies is looking for a full time Ruby on Rails Developer in Carlsbad CA. The position does allow for remote work, but we prefer someone who can come to the office a few days a week. We have a very experienced team so we are open to different experience levels. However, I think two years of professional Rails experience would be the minimum needed in order to be successful. What we do: Airspace Technologies ships critical shipments like organs and semiconductor parts across the country as fast as possible. From a developer perspective, we are optimizing a real path between two arbitrary points. We find and book the fastest flight, calculate the drive time and directions and even automatically dispatch drivers to the appropriate locations when certain milestones are reached. Cool right? That is the sum of three rails applications, an iOS app, Andorid app and lots of development. What we want to do: Now that we have this cool auto dispatch for drivers, are great at calculating optimum paths, and have a nice API, we would like for clients to be able to schedule different types of deliveries instead of just optimal time. Some of our clients simply just want local deliveries and are constantly getting orders all day. We need to be able to dispatch a driver to a distribution facility, have them pick up multiple packages, calculate the optimum route Hamiltonian Path style, while providing accurate times to the client and their customers. Even harder is the fact that we will have multiple drivers in the area so we will have to dispatch the correct one first and then involve the others as the distribution of the packages changes. Phew! So I would sum up the job description as: We have a really hard problem to solve that is going to be very fun to work on. We have a great environment that is really fun to work in. If you love ruby and want a project that will push you to be even better, please apply! 2+ years of professional Ruby on Rails AngularJS or any modern JS framework is a plus! -- -- SD Ruby mailing list [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/sdruby --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SD Ruby" group.
