Hi, I'm michael. I work with Nick at the ucsd library.
I work with a network of hackers, artists and activists called the borderlands Hacklab. We try to promote free software ideas and help people traditionally excluded from technology to learn about technology. We do an event, the 3rd wed of every month called our Open Hack Night. The idea is to get techies and artists and activists together to share ideas and skills and to allow folks who want to learn more about technology to do so in an informal environment. So, it would be great if someone wanted to do an "intro to ruby on rails" workshop! In the past, we've had workshops on linux command line usage, intro to video editing, zine making, electronic civil disobedience, community technology centers and more. Ideally, the workshop would be about 30 minutes with time for questions after that. Anyone interested? If so, feel fee to reply to me or to the list. You can read more about the borderlands Hacklab here: http://sdhacklab.org And you can read about our past open hack nights here: http://sandiego.indymedia.org/en/2006/07/116728.shtml http://sandiego.indymedia.org/en/2006/05/115869.shtml or see watch video: http://sandiego.indymedia.org/en/2006/06/116077.shtml thanks, michael _______________________________________________ Sdruby mailing list [email protected] http://lists.sdruby.com/mailman/listinfo/sdruby
