On TextDrive, you don't get a lot of directory permission controls with their automated system. Separate repos are better for truly separate projects anyways as you sometimes want to move the repo to another server/user. AFAIK, I can't give someone a repository piece and so security goes out the window when you give them the svn dump backup.
