Our client, a private venture-backed company headquartered in San Diego,
California, has an immediate need for an experienced Web Engineer to
provide both front- and back-end web-centric tools for their distributed
mobile network. You will be programming on Linux, using Ruby on Rails.
The company is a leading provider of mobile solutions to the radio
industry, delivering robust and innovative text messaging campaigns for
over 6 years.
In this key role, your duties will include:
Help build internal and customer-facing web-based applications to manage
the network.
Design, build, and enhance: content management, scheduling, reporting,
analytics and content distribution infrastructure.
Provide web-based access to above systems for both internal and external
use with an appropriate access control model across system.
You will be involved in the system end-to-end: requirements definition,
data modeling, network and database infrastructure, website development,
and more.
Required Skills:
4+ years as Web Applications engineer.
3+ years in database design and data modeling (MySQL focus preferred).
Must know Ruby on Rails.
Network administration and programming in UNIX/Linux environments.
Multi-level security database design.
Strong interpersonal and team skills.
Must be passionate about working in a startup.
