you might want to try to get a captcha solution to work with
restful_authentication.

Let us know how it goes.

I suspect what most people are doing (b/c this is what we do) is
start w/ restful_authentication and extend from there for your
specific needs. The aaa wiki has some good code samples for things
like "forgot password", account activation, etc.

Anyone know of any decent rails plugins for doing site signup?
Something that would allow users to sign up, maybe have a
captcha, maybe a confirmation link sent in email, allow them
to interface with the app and change their password, that sort
of thing.

acts_as_authenticated doesn't appear to do this. It looks
like restful_authentication might do some of it, but are
there proven alternatives?
I was sort of expecting everyone and their uncle to have
a plugin for this, I was a little surprised at the dearth.
I've looked over rubyforge, agilewebdevopment, and plain
old google. If I'm missing something good, let me know.

Thanks.
