Hey, guys.
Sean Tierney from JumpBox has asked me to invite the group to his
talk at the next SDJUG meeting.
He'll be speaking about project management using Trac. It's not Ruby
or Rails specific, but might be interesting for folks nonetheless.
More details are below and at http://www.sdjug.com.

Project Management Nirvana with Trac
Having effective project managment can mean the difference between a
successful delivery and a failed software project. The ultimate
project management tool should have bulletproof accountability for
tasks, enable the participants to stay ontop of scheduling, track
issues painlessly, produce accessible documentation, allow for
frictionless communication and integrate all these aspects seemlessly
with the actual source code that's being produced. Many project
management tools either impose too rigid a workflow or lack critical
features (or cost a boatload). Trac is an open source tool that can
be used in conjuction with your favorite SCM product to provide better
collaboration during development. And with the Trac JumpBox, the
laborious setup process can now be reduced to under a minute.
Sean Tierney is co-founder and COO of JumpBox, Inc. Sean has ten years
of experience in web having served in various engineering capacities
in both established and startup companies. In 2002 Sean founded Lights
Out Production, a software consultancy under which he developed custom
collaborative and commerce applications for Arizona companies. He
holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Trinity University, San
Antonio, TX and graduated Cum Laude. Sean is a certified Innovation
Games (r) facilitator, an active contributor to Cambrian House, a
graduate of the Eugene Marion-Kauffman Foundation FastTrac
Entrepreneurship course series, author for the Techdirt Insight
Community and host of the bi-weekly Grid7 Podcast interviews.
JumpBox was founded in 2006 with the goal of making the deployment and
management of server software dramatically easier. The company's
JumpBox applications are virtual appliances that utilize
virtualization technology to make this goal a reality. The JumpBox
Open Source Application Library contains a pre-built set of JumpBoxes
that provide a simple, safe and supported way to deploy Open Source
server software. JumpBox is based in Tempe, AZ.
