"add ACPI Embedded Controller" it can work as an event carrier, so ACPI events can be passed between platform(like QEMU emulated) and OS, OS can execute _Qxx method which defined by yourself. this mechanism can be very flexible, and you can avoid bothering to create some special devices for QEMU and drivers for linux kernel.
