While working on SEAMVALIDATE-4 I had a look at this issue again.
As it turned out, classloader delegation can be configured for WARs under
GlassFish to give classes from the module precedence over classes from the
container. This happens using the sun-web.xml descriptor.
That way the example can now be executed on GF by building it in the
"glassfish" profile which bundles HV 4.2 with the WAR.
