*Subject:* 4.2.2 not seeing denials in dmesg
I built 4.2.2 for a Nexus 7 and for the emulator. In both cases, SE
appears to be denying requests as expected, but I am not seeing the
denial messages in dmesg. For example, we have an application that can
read files from its files directory and display them. If I attempt to
display a file that does not have the appropriate context set, the file
fails to load, but I do not see a denial message in dmesg (I checked
/proc/kmsg too). Once I update the context, the file loads fine. Any
idea why I wouldn’t be seeing the denial message?
We merged auditd from Bill Roberts, along with the change to init.rc to
run it by default on boot. So all audit is going to it and then written
to /data/misc/audit/audit.log, and rotated to /data/misc/audit/audit.old
on next boot.
