Here's a recent post from our Developer forums. The user PaulFleet
needs help with the following:
Does anyone have a program or know of a product that can tell which
compiler was used to compile a member in a load library? We want to
be able to identify programs and subroutines compiled under IBM
Cobol2, MVS Cobol and OS/390 Cobol. There is a way to do this
manually by calculating displacements in a load member, but it is
difficult and time-consuming. There is also a product that costs
$15-20K. This could be done with an assembler (ASM) program. Has
anyone tried this?
