HOW DO I GET STARTED WITH LINUX ON S/390? | Advice: search390

We're in the early stages of planning Linux on S/390. I thought read
it somewhere Linux should go into an LPAR with a limited number of
devices defined. Another member of my group says the devices can be
controlled under Linux. Could you get me started in the right
direction? Should I create an LPAR with a small number of devices in
it's access list, or can I use an existing LPAR (one that has just
about every device defined) and control it with Linux?

THE MISSING LINK | American says he swapped e-mails with Saddam

If they were to make this a movie, it could be called "The Dude and
the Despot." A software engineer from suburban Philadelphia launched
an e-mail on Iraq, specifically Saddam Hussein, asking him to join
the allied forces against terrorism. Expecting to get a response from
that "mailer daemon" guy, he allegedly got a response from the
"Baghdaddy" instead. Christopher Love said Saddam expressed his
sympathies for the victims of the 9/11 attacks and wrote "God has
created us and to Him we return. May God give you a long life." No
word if the new e-pals plan to meet in person. (Reuters)
