I pass a commarea via this LINK. I am able to use the commarea data in the CICS program. However, when I change the Commarea data in the CICS program and return control back to the batch program, I do not see the data changes in the batch program. Is there a way to get around this? Is it possible the call is by value and not by reference? >>CLICK for Jim's answer: http://search390.techtarget.com/ateQuestionNResponse/0,289625,sid10_cid423307_tax285123,00.html ____________________________________________________________________ :::::::::: DON'T MISS THESE IMPORTANT MESSAGES AND LINKS ::::::::: =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= SMF REPORTS | search390 Operating Systems Discussion Forum User "venkatry" is looking for answers to this question recently posted in our Operating Systems discussion forum: "I am working as a mainframe systems programmer.
