RATIONAL TOOL COMBINES WEBSPHERE, VISUAL STUDIO.NET | News: InfoWorld

Here's a Rational move: Rational Software has sharpened a new tool
that unites the application design and development of WebSphere and
Visual Studio.NET. Rational XDE Professional 2002 lets developers
code and design directly in Visual Studio.NET, IBM's WebSphere Studio
Application Developer, or the IBM Eclipse integrated development
environments.

Environments (IDE's) for Java? How about VAJ's incremental compiling?

orientation? Well, it's all being superceded by WebSphere Studio
WorkBench on top of the open-source Eclipse IDE.

RUNNING WEBSPHERE UNDER LINUX S/390 | by Jan Lahmann

Dear Ask the Expert:
I'm interested in activating WebSphere under Linux on 390. Dedicated
LPAR. What are the requirements for the application server in terms
of software? I do not currently run DB2 on Linux or OS/390. I'm
running the SUSE 7.0 distribution. Can I use a remote (AIX) DB2 for
the Administrative repository?

THE MISSING LINK | Space: The final frontier for Internet access

What do you get the Trekkie who has everything -- besides the Klingon
translation of "Hamlet"? In a truly Starship enterprising idea,
Earthlink is teaming up with Paramount to offer "Star Trek"-themed
Internet access and service. The browser, e-mail address and desktop

exclusive access to all kinds of bonus "Star Trek" content. Paramount

the show part of their everyday lives.
