HOW TO BREAK A DB2 FIELD AND INSERT IN TRIGGER? | by Willie Favero
Dear Ask the Expert,
I have a table in DB2 that contains the following fields: JobCode
char(10), JobCode char(4), GradeLevel char(2), GradeQual char(4). I
want to write a TRIGGER that will automatically break the JobCode
char(10) field into three pieces. The first four letters will be
inserted into JobCode, the next two will be inserted into GradeLevel
and the last four will be inserted into GradeQual.
Would you please show me how to break a field into pieces and insert
these pieces into different fields in TRIGGER?

WHAT IS ++INCLUDE AND COPY STATEMENT? | by Tom Ross
Dear Ask the Expert,
I am having a problem compiling a COBOL program. There is a ++INCLUDE
member name in the FD section that describes the file structure. We
changed the declaration of a variable in this include member, but it
is still taking the old version of the include. This include member
is in a panvalet library. I looked in to the compiler output listing
and it shows the old version.
What is the difference between ++INCLUDE and copy statement?
