A CICS task can now be tagged "threadsafe" instead of "quasirent" meaning it can, at least part of time, run under a CICS open TCB. That open TCB, though usually running at a lower priority so as to not impact overall CICS performance, can otherwise run full throttle. Consider use of "open TCBs" in other transactions.
