existing OS/390 shops, but in tandem with its new z/OS release, IBM

Are you all patched out? Can't keep up with all the hot fixes,
updates, patches and service packs that Redmond rapid fires? Here's
some good news: Microsoft is working on that. The company didn't
exactly spill the beans, but an official did tell SearchWin2000.com

HP RAISES QUESTIONS WITH E3000 UPGRADE | News: SearchHP.com
Hewlett-Packard last week announced processor upgrades to its e3000
server line and additions to the MPE/iX operating system. But users
wonder: Is HP really trying to provide an interim performance boost
for companies not yet ready to migrate from the defunct platform? Or
is HP just trying to squeeze a few more dollars out of an install
base already facing an expensive migration?

IBM EXEC CALLS BEA WEB SERVICES CLAIM LAME | News: InfoWorld

NEED HELP PREPARING FOR MQ CERTIFICATION? | by Clayton Ching

Dear Clayton,
I recently attempted the MQ-096 certification. Prior to the test, I
cleared their 095 certification and have also attended IBM training
on MQ01, MQ05, MQ15 and MQ30. Although I prepared for the
certification based on the course material provided, the questions
asked were more at the design level, which is not really covered in
the manuals. It would be great if you could suggest some
material/manuals that I should refer to in order to successfully pass
the certification. There are a lot of manuals at the IBM site so it's
very difficult going through each one of them.

THE MISSING LINK | Greek geeks got game again

Imagine getting tossed in the slammer for elf bowling or checkmating
Deep Blue. That kind of justice may sound Greek to you -- and it is!
The Greek government's ban on playing computer games in public got a
little ludicrous when two Internet cafe owners were charged after
police found customers playing online chess (gasp!) and the popular
Counter-Strike game. Evidently the ban is a little too broad -- it's
intended to crack down on gambling, but it doesn't have a clause to
exempt computer games. A judge threw out the charges in the cafe
case, saying the ban is unconstitutional.
