Some may allow just a DISPLAY 'MESSAGE TEXT' UPON CONSOLE while prohibiting an ACCEPT OPERATOR-RESPONSE FROM CONSOLE. They do so because the two CONSOLE operations often get disassociated as the 'MESSAGE TEXT' scrolls off the operator's screen. Wondering how to keep the association on the operator screen? Better yet, want just to test periodically for a response while you're doing other things? He was scheduled for a court hearing on drunk driving charges, and as he waited for his turn at justice, he noticed an unattended computer. The Gallic geek managed to get into the court database, delete his file and add a smiley face in its place. That was the only smile in the building. The court fined him and yanked his driver's license for three months.
