>> zSeries performance problems
Harsha is having a problem with zSeries programming. After migrating to z/OS, the performance of certain jobs has fallen off. Many of those jobs are calling routines that are written in assembly language. He thinks the problem might be related to cache, but he needs your help to find out for sure. Can you think of any reasons why system performance might degrade after the switch to z/OS? If so, please respond to Harsha's post in our discussion forum.
>> We're on a 64-bit journey A Search390.com member writes: "We'll be converting to 64-bit soon in our journey to z/OS. We're OS/390 r2.10 with regular Cobol processors. Do we need any new processors, recompiles, or do we need to change the parameters of our current processors to get to 64-bit processing?" Click here to respond to this post in our discussion forum.
