Members of the new Portuguese Association of Friends of the Siesta are putting their nation on the nap and rallying their well-rested troops to protect siestas -- those "Z's" caught after lunch. The group doesn't adhere to the adage of "you snooze, you lose;" they say catching a few winks is a good way to stay healthy, refreshed and focused -- and resist the frenetic pace of modern life. The group may even lobby to have the country's labor laws relaxed to allow for siestas.
