IS THERE A LIST OF FTP ERROR CODES? | Troubleshooting System 390

I am receiving the following FTP error: FTP Return Code = 14000,
Error Code = 00010. Can you tell me what this means? Is there a list
of FTP error codes?

FTP OPTIONS | Troubleshooting System 390

Is there an option in FTP to strip CR/LF when going from the
mainframe to a PC? I have a that allow me to FTP a flat file of 202
bytes to a flat file of 200 bytes on the mainframe, while converting
to ASCII. Then it send the file as a binary to the PC, but I would
have thought that this type of data manipulation would tend to be
common in an EDI world.

DISPLAYING CURRENT FTP USERS | Troubleshooting System 390

Is there a way to display the current FTP users that are signed on to
the FTP server (FTPD1) on an OS/390 or z/OS system? We are currently
running OS/390 2.10 and will soon be running z/OS 1.4. My operations
staff would like to be able to display this information via a TSO
command.

FEATURED TIP | JDK 1.4.x and WAS 5.0?

Stephen Swoyer has gotten a couple of questions lately from folks who
are curious about support for the new version of Sun Microsystems'
Java Development Kit (JDK) -- version 1.4.1 -- under WebSphere
Application Server (WAS) v5.0. The simple fact of the matter is that
JDK 1.4.1 is not yet supported. (Cue the howls of developer anguish)
No word on when IBM plans to rectify that.

FEATURED WHITE PAPER | IP-based file system replication

To make your Internet presence immediate and meaningful to the
customer, the key is to get information to them as fast as possible
-- even faster than the magic "eight seconds" -- the average amount
of time a user will wait to get a page download before moving on. So
how are companies addressing the issue of fast response time? This
white paper outlines strategies for keeping data fresh, how to make
it quickly available to the end user and why FTP will only get you so
far.
