The Missing Link

Listen for the sonic bloom
[Associated Press]
Hippies couldn't imagine this kind of flower power. A company in Japan has created a gadget that turns household plants into speakers. The gadget (or is it a gizmo?) sends the sounds shooting up the stems and out through the petals and leaves. Just imagine being able to listen to "Venus" via Venus Flytrap. Or Guns N' Roses through red roses. How about "Tiptoe through the Tulips" through the tulips? You get the idea. The same company is also trying to turn plants into phone speakers. So you could talk to your Aunt Fern through the fern.
