Cloning your system
[Search390.com]
A Search390.com user asked: I'm creating a dual SYSRES environment with z/OS 1.4 where each SYSRES environment relates to a unique SMP/E zone. How can I modify the SMP/E DDDEF statements that point to /usr..., /sample... and /bin... paths to point to the root system on the correct RES vol?

Reverse engineering the load module
[Search390.com]
A Search390.com user asked: We have a JES2 exit that needs to be reassembled. The problem is we've lost the source code. Are there any products or techniques you know of to reverse engineer the load module?

Offloading spool files
[Search390.com]
A Search390.com user asked: I'm trying to offload the spool files from OS/390 and upload to z/OS and I'm using the OFFLOAD3,type=transmit and receive functions of JES2. All of the commands work with an OK but the files offloaded and received do not show up on the queue. I tried the same process on z/OS alone and it worked fine but I've never been able to cutover to a new release and get this to work. The node IDs are
different, could this be the cause?
