I run several Linux distributions (Red Hat 7.2, SLES 7.2) under z/VM 3.1 on a MP3000 H30. When I fire up a TOMCAT servlet engine on a Linux server and load some servlets, I experience high CPU utilization that affects VM performance across the board. Will a migration to z/VM version 4.4 resolve this?

This is the kind of news that doesn't exactly make a cubicle rat's day. Scientists in Japan have determined that long hours in front of a computer screen (sound familiar?) can raise the risk of glaucoma in people who are shortsighted. Those poor peepers, those overworked orbs can only take so much. So if you're not worried about carpal tunnel syndrome anymore, you now have something else to obsess about.
