Now VitaLink, producer of the study and the "Plug 'N Pour" Beverage Tracker System, believes it has an answer for over-generous drink makers and parsimonious publicans. Its Plug "N Pour is a high-tech pour spout that keeps track of every drink poured via an embedded microchip and wireless radio transmitter. Some bartenders say it takes the creativity out of their jobs. "No more freestyle pouring," said Danny Norway, director of the Professional Bartenders School in San Francisco.
