Carl Kraenzel, a Lotus spokesman, said the company plans to let developers know that the Lotus products and APIs they already have can be used right now and there is no need to wait, as with Microsoft's .Net initiative. Executives at DevCon also plan to outline how Lotus products fill out IBM's Web services vision. Not the Greek dude who wrote those epic poems you had to read in high school, but the animated geek with epic problems. The OED has admitted Homer Simpson's trademark "doh!" into its latest official lexicon. The word police define it as "expressing frustration at the realization that things have turned out badly, or not as planned, or that one has just said or done something foolish. Also implying that another person has said or done something foolish." Of course, they could also define it as a method of imitating Homer Simpson. You can see "doh!" only in the online version -- the print edition is a few years off. Some other new words and expressions: "bad hair day," "full monty," and "cheesy."
