LEAD STORY
"Casinos gamble on iSeries"
Would a gambler take a chance on trusting their back-office
applications to a system less reliable than an AS/400?
Nope. Too risky. That's why the majority of casinos lining
the Las Vegas strip are using an iSeries box. Some are even
betting on the iSeries for risky new projects like
wireless.

[2] "Using WebSphere studio"
This article walks the user through the process of creating
a simple database application using WebSphere Studio,
customizing the HTML output and then publishing the
resulting HTML, Java Server Pages (JSP) and servlets to an
iSeries/AS/400 server. It is assumed that WebSphere
Application Server (WAS) V3.5.3 is running on the server
and that an application server exists from which both the
Web application path for JSPs and HTML and classpath for
the servlet can be accessed.

"Wine DNA to foil crooks"
Finally, wine collectors can relax. DNA fingerprinting has
been developed for their bottles of super plonk, so no need
to worry about those nasty counterfeiters anymore. The
Australian wine company, BRL Hardy, unveiled a world-first
security seal, which uses DNA coding to authenticate its
wine. DNA from the company's 125-year-old vines in south
Australia is impregnated into light-reflective ink and
applied to a tamperproof neck label that will seal the
bottle. Electronic scanners can pick up the DNA in the ink
and the ink itself can be tested for the presence of the
vine's DNA.
