LEAD STORY
"Terrorist attacks do not deter local user groups"
Even with the use of the Internet, the grounding of
airplanes affects the OS/400 marketplace because a lot of
computer training is delivered live in classroom settings.
The affects of the terrorist attacks will be felt for a
long time. Local user groups are available to lend IT
professionals a hand, so take advantage of the help.

THE MISSING LINK
A look at an off-the-wall story off the Web
--------------------------------------------

"Games biz reacts to terrorist attacks"
The shockwaves of the terrorist attacks in New York and
Washington are so pervasive that gaming industry is
reacting with respect. Several companies have delayed or
scrapped games that could be considered offensive in the
context of the attacks. Spider-Man 2 has been recalled
while developers edit out a building that looks something
like the World Trade Center. A game called Metal Gear Solid
2: Sons of Liberty may get a tweak -- it shows the pre-
attack New York skyline. And, many shopkeepers have taken
Red Alert 2 off the shelves. The game's box shows New
York's skyline burning with the World Trade Center
shadowing the ruins.
