IBM will reportedly make several announcements of interest to iSeries
fans at the upcoming COMMON Expo in Minneapolis. Sources say the
company will begin telling customers that they can expect to see
Power4-based "Regatta" servers bearing the iSeries logo during the
second half of 2002.

HOW CLIENT ACCESS FOR WINDOWS 95/NT ENDS  | News: The Four Hundred

IBM has scheduled the next and final service pack for its Client
Access for Windows 95/NT V3R2M0 software to be issued May 31, 2002.
The new service pack will precede IBM dropping support for the Client
Access for Windows 95/NT V3R2M0 package running under OS/400 V4R5 by
two months, as V3R2M0 loses official IBM support on July 31, 2002.

IBM GIVES REBATES ON WEBSPHERE AND RELATED EDUCATION  | News: The
Four Hundred

IBM is offering rebates on the purchase of WebSphere educational 
services packages, as well as WebSphere Application Server licenses
for Linux installations. The rebates could save WebSphere customers
$1,250 per WebSphere license and up to $22,000 on the cost of IBM
WebSphere training.

THE MISSING LINK | Playboy slashes jobs at Web unit

You know times are tough when Hugh Hefner has to slash one of his 
prized units. Playboy is sporting pink slips, and they're not from 
Victoria's Secret. Ninety employees are losing their jobs; half of
them work at Playboy Online. (You know, the site everyone visits for
the articles.) Playboy Enterprises, the "mother ship" so to speak,
says the layoffs are necessary to ensure profitability in 2002.
