What will 2002 bring? As 2001 comes to a close, it's a good time to look ahead and consider what surprises 2002 may have in store for the iSeries market? * Will interest in the platform go up or down? * What impact will V5R1 have as more customers migrate to it? * What about IBM's recent iSeries Linux promotion with its new Test Drive program for Linux developers? Will Big Blue kick OS/400 to the curb and push Linux as a primary OS? * Perhaps most important, what will 2002 bring to the iSeries job market? There are plenty of questions. And although the answers will come only with time, search400 has assembled some interesting predictions from our resident experts that address the questions mentioned above -- and more. In addition, Paul Gillin, head of editorial at TechTarget, offers his prognostications for the IT industry overall. And as we move into 2002, please keep those e-mails coming. Write me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and let me know where you'd like to see us devote more of our news coverage. Your feedback is invaluable and most appreciated. Finally, on behalf of the entire search400 team, we want to wish you all a safe, wonderful holiday, and all the best in the coming year. |

| Tip of the Week: |
You were signed on for how long?
