Switching to JDK 1.3 with WebSphere Another user writes, "I'm using V5R1 and WebSphere V3.5, and WebSphere is currently running with JDK 1.2. I need to switch to JDK 1.3, but I can't find any support resources on how to do this in V5R1. Does anyone know how the WebSphere startup process determines which JDK to use? Furthermore, does anyone know how to switch from JDK 1.2 to 1.3?" Have any advice? Click over and help this person out. |

| Tip of the Week: |
Retrieve the IP address of an active device Have you ever wanted to know the IP address of a connected workstation? Well, the iSeries has an API that can get that for you. You may want to implement security schemes, add business rules, use different display files, etc. depending on the IP. By knowing all or even part of the IP address, you can control how your programs communicate with the device. Site expert John Kohan gives you an API to help you find the IP address of a connected workstation. |
