A new study suggests that young adults who play action-packed video games have sharper visual skills than those who don't. Specifically, gamers appear better able to keep up with objects that appear at the same time on a screen and can better process rapid-fire changes in visual information. Researchers also think video games may be helpful to people who are visually impaired. The study did not look at the effects violent games might have on the attitudes of youngsters.
