WHO'S EDITING WHAT? | John Brandt, application development advice

Dear John,
We've written our own source management menu so that we can keep
track of who edits what source member and when. The menu calls the
standard STRSEU command. How can you tell if the user pressed F3 or
F12 when they exited from SEU?

SAVING SPREADSHEET PASSWORDS | Advice: Search400.com

"Bobo" created a spreadsheet using MsQuery and Client Access ODBC
driver to pull data from the iSeries -- it worked beautifully. He
then wanted to give the spreadsheet to another user for daily
refresh. The problem was when the other user refreshed, it
constantly prompt them for a user ID and password even though the
user ID was preloaded in the screen. After a little help from
"CLKelly", "Bobo" came up with a workaround.

MISSING LINK | Dial F for fire

A Nokia cell phone in Holland should have come with a warning label:
"This phone will self-destruct in 60 seconds." A woman dropped the
gadget; when she picked it up and turned it back on, the phone burst
into flames. She suffered some minor burns to her face and neck, but
she's going to be OK. Nokia passed the blame buck to the battery
maker -- evidently, the woman had replaced her original battery with
a non-Nokia brand.
