MISSING LINK | The recording industry strikes back against pirate
menace

Got music on your PC that you haven't paid for? You may have some
deleting -- and some apologizing -- to do. The Recording Industry
Association of America (RIAA) is going after online music pirates.
The RIAA has filed more than 250 civil lawsuits against people it
says have basically used the Net to steal and distribute copyrighted
music, and the organization promises many more loads of litigation
against as-yet unnamed users. The RIAA is also forgiving anyone who
hasn't already been targeted, as long as they promise to delete
their phonic booty and pledge to never, ever, ever download again.
