TEXT CONVERSION ON THE ISERIES | Shahar Mor, connectivity advice

Dear Shahar,
I am trying to read a file that resides on the iSeries from a
Windows PC. The file displays in the wrong format. I have specified
EBCDIC/ASCII text conversion in the share of the directory. I have
also change the CCSID to 37. What do I need to do to be able to
read the file from my Windows server?

THE MISSING LINK | Tutors tackle high-level Luddism

IT people may be worried about getting on the same page with the
business folks, but you have to wonder whether some of the suits are
even in the same book. There's no shortage of CEOs who can't even
switch on a laptop, much less understand your job. One woman in New
York has started tutoring hard-core Luddites, teaching them such
mundane tasks as how to sign on to a computer, open an e-mail
attachment and send e-mails. It just isn't cool to be clueless when
it comes to computers anymore. Some execs view this ineptitude as a
weakness and keep their tutoring sessions on the QT.
