Security error message in VB
Carol Woodbury, security advice
Dear Carol,
I am developing an application in Visual Basic that connects to an iSeries database. The application was working properly, but then my client made some improvements in security and now I'm getting an error message. The error appears when the application tries to execute an SQL statement. Can this be a security issue that prevents my application from executing the SQL statement?

IT pros unhappy at work
![]()
"Show me the money"? How about "Show me the happiness!" IT workers may be considered white-collar professionals, and they may cash bigger paychecks than many in the work force, but that doesn't necessarily translate into grins and giggles. In fact, according to a recent "happiness index" developed by a British research firm, only 14% of IT workers are happy on the job. "Vocational workers," including chefs, florists and plumbers,
are much more satisfied. The most miserable bunch, you ask? Journalists. (The Register)
