Finding the Value in SQL and WebSphere

A frequent problem encountered in Web application development is when attempting to allow optional selection criteria. Many applications allow users to select records based on selection criteria. The big trick, however, is to get the search to ignore values in the search if the user does not specify them. This article details how this type of search can be coded.

This is a command/program set that user Herb Bujak has been using since V3R2. The features that make it different from other utilities are the optional printed log, an interactive warning if there's no WHERE clause (update/delete) and the ability to syntax check (no execution).
