Remember when the word "waffles" actually referred to a breakfast food that looked great with Mrs. Butterworth? But thanks to geeks, Google and politics, "waffles" is now all about Democratic candidate John Kerry and President Bush. Republicans "Google bombed" the senator from Massachusetts, using their conservative blogs to get Kerry's Web site atop Google's search results for the word "waffles." The Democratic response? The Bush-Cheney 2004 Web site now comes up third in a Yahoo search for "waffles." But the most interesting search for "waffles" yielded the menu from Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n' Waffles in Los Angeles. No politics; just good eats.
