[Search400.com]
by Andrew Borts

I'm going to go over some REALLY COOL time-saving ideas so you can put your feet up and, well, be lazy like me. What do you think about securing your local network and setting the clock automatically? Sound good? OK, let's go!

Retrieve the IP address of an active device
[Search400.com]
Have you ever wanted to know the IP address of a connected workstation? Well, the iSeries has an API that can get that for you.

CWBPING does what PING can't for your 400
[Search400.com]
PING is one of those handy TCP/IP utilities that performs a basic function on the Internet: verifying whether a device is active and able to exchange TCP/IP traffic. To troubleshoot and verify whether your Client Access host servers are active, IBM provides the CWBPING utility with Client Access Express for Windows V5R1.

Identify the TCP addresses of telnet users
[Search400.com]
What's the easiest way to identify the TCP addresses of your telnet users? Search400.com expert Ken Graap says there's an API that can do this.
