A novel idea -- book goes out via text message
[Associated Press]
You've heard of hardback and paperback -- now get ready for cellback. In a case of truth being much stranger than fiction, an author in China has written a book to be read via text message -- perfect for the leisure reader on the go. The 60 chapters of Outside the Fortress Besieged will come to a reader's cell phone in 70-word increments and is expected to do well in China, where people get much of their information via text
message. It's kind of a romance novel, and will be a test to see if romance can succeed without Fabio on the cover.
