[Alsa-user] equalizer for ALSA?
Hi there! Is there some equalizer application for ALSA? I'm not talking about mixers, like amixer, kamixer and such, but a real qualizer to adjust frequencies. I know VLC media player has a builtin equalizer, but it would be nice to have a standalone equalizer to adjust sound generally. Thanx Malte -- Are you an open source citizen? Re: [Alsa-user] USB Mic of Quickcam Fusion records annoying tick tick sound
I got an answer at http://forums.quickcamteam.net/showthread.php?tid=855pid=3271#pid3271 : Yes, someone was indeed looking at porting the code but it seems he abandoned the project. So, it looks like for these older cameras people are stuck with the click problem. With our newer cameras this has been fixed, however. Now the question for me is whether I want to spend 85 euros on a new Logitech webcam... -- Are you an open source citizen? Join us for the Open Source Bridge conference! Portland, OR, June 17-19. [Alsa-user] Known C-Media 8738 issues?
Hi there, when I use Skype 2.0.0.72 on Linux I get an error: RtApiAlsa: callback thread error (RtApiAlsa: audio write error for device (C- Media CMI8738 (hw:CMI8738,0)): unknown error 405.) ... closing stream. I did not have problems before when I use my good old Soundblaster Live! and so I wonder, are there any known issues with the CMedia 8738 chip? Do you think I could get rid of this Skype issue when I upgrade to a CMedia 8768 chip? Malte -- Are you an open source citizen? Join us for the Open Source Bridge conference! Re: [Alsa-user] Known C-Media 8738 issues?
I tested the 8768 for another poster regarding skype. It worked for me with Suse 11.1 64bit OS.. The card is a Diamond XS71. About $30. I run multiple copies of this card in the box for other software. It seems to be very compatible with linux software. -Original Message- From: Malte Gell malte.g...@gmx.de Date: Mon, 22 Jun 2009 09:38:06 To: alsa-user@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: [Alsa-user] Known C-Media 8738 issues?
