Looks like they've switched gears over the last month or so. They do
not show under the previous provider.
If a traceroute is correct, they're hosting out of their own basement
now. ISP: Kabelfoon in the Netherlands:

A quick email

The site uses Paypal for subscriptions too, not just donations. And
paypal has clear polices on infringement.

Hi Scott,
Figured I would let you in on something. I have nothing to do with
that site anymore.
I haven't in a while. If Tony is still on it then fine. But please
don't put my name into anything.

Me and you had a long discussion and touched many topics not to long
ago and from what I can
recall, I told you I am done with that site.

I couldn't if I wanted to. I don't have access to the domain
name anymore. So for all developers trying to find out about their
applications look elsewhere.
Honestly, when the site was going on it wasn't much money anyways.

But like I said leave my name out of it. I am currently developing an
application and have no time for websites.

Have a good day,

2009-12-16 Thread SoftwareForMe.com

We found this site some time ago; it's operated by Nick Narbone and
someone named Tony, both in Florida.

We requested that they remove our software, and as far as we could
tell, they did so.

However, they used to have a complete list of their available apps,
but have now redone their site and taken the list off, saying "We
cannot give a list because of issues with some developers."

I doubt they make much through donations or AdSense. Good ideas
though.

Someone with a vested interest (I'm not) needs to write a C&D letter
to the hosting service. I'd go straight to the exec's, don't bother
with customer service or who ever. Here's the crew:

If they don't respond, it's next stop DA.
In San Francisco it's Kamala Harris.

so I suggest anyone who has their work being distributed on this site
click on the "Google Ads" link and complain. At least you can get
their AdSense account suspended. They also use PayPal, so you can

These guys again. A bunch of kids in Florida if I remember right. I am
disappointed in that their hosting service didn't take them out of
"business".
Search the android-discuss group for "androidplayground" so you can

I believe someone posted their old, unprotected (that's how amateurish
