Java Software Engineer with hands-on AWS implementation experience to join
their team and assist in the development of solutions for their
newly-minted, cloud-based platform for external-facing web applications.
In this role, you will bring to bear your hands-on experience with Java,
AWS, NoSQL, and Spring Framework to build components from scratch and
implement them into production.  You will participate in daily scrums as
part of 2-3 week sprints, working with geographically-dispersed
stakeholders to develop new application components.  The project will go
through end of the year and likely into Q1/Q2 2017.



The ideal candidate will be local to Orange County and be available to meet
with the team in-person prior to an offer.  The incumbent will work on-site
at our client’s Irvine facilities.



Required Skills:

· Design, prototype, develop and troubleshoot moderately complex
software systems



· Act as subject matter expert for multiple software components and
features



· Supply work estimates and communicate status updates regularly



· Engage with project stakeholders from across the organization



· Recommend and execute continuous quality improvement



· Maintain accurate documentation of all work



· Mentor junior teammates







Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)



· Expert knowledge of C# and .NET Framework concepts



· Expert knowledge of client-side web development including
Javascript, jQuery, KnockoutJS, Bootstrap, MVVM



· Working knowledge of multi-tiered application development



· Working knowledge of database development and SQL Server concepts



· Ability to factor usability, performance, security and
maintainability requirements into software solutions



· Familiarity with agile software engineering processes and ability
to contribute to planning and reporting







Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, Experience)



· BS in Computer Science or equivalent



· Minimum of 5 years of directly related work experience



· Acted in a senior/leadership role on several previous projects
