I'm selling my Freerunner with much equipment on ebay (shipping worldwide)
Hi, because of unlucky events in my private life I will be so short on time the next few months that I will have nearly zero time to spend on my device left. This is sad but because it hasn't to gather dust here with me I planed to sell it on ebay. I heard still a lot of people are having problems getting one. As long as you take the delivery charges I sent it world-wide. It comes with a lot of equipment like the debug-board, the head-set,the screwdriver and so on... It has never left my house, the protective foil has never been taken of the display, so you can believe me it's in nearly new condition! Re: Debian on the FreeRunner -- now official
Installation went fine without any problems here. But I can't give in my pin :( It's not related to this bug: http://trac.freesmartphone.org/ticket/90 , but just to make sure I applied the patch but it doesn't solve my problem. If I push the first number nothing happens. But if I push the second number the first and second are printed at the same time. This makes giving in the pin pretty hard. There seems to be a problem with some buffer. The same problem doesn't exists on the plain FSO image so it seems to be related to the debian one. ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

Hi, I think my FR with 2008.8 is nearly ready for daily usage. The only thing which is stopping this, is the "white screen of death" problem. Re: No pin dialog/ qpe
Thanks Norbert very much for finally finding the real problem with the pin dialog not appearing! Removing this makes the pin-dialog appear for me with !!every boot!! now ca. 15-20 sec after x started. Before this patch the pin-dialog just appeared 1 out of 40 boots! This is a big improvment. So if this is really needed to do by qpe, this process should be forked away from qpe in order to not block other things and it should be given a low priority with nice not to consume so much cpu and blocking other processes with this. # diff /opt/Qtopia/etc/default/Trolltech/Storage.conf.bak /opt/Qtopia/etc/default/Trolltech/Storage.conf --- /opt/Qtopia/etc/default/Trolltech/Storage.conf.bak Mon Aug 11 11:19:26 2008 +++ /opt/Qtopia/etc/default/Trolltech/Storage.conf Mon Aug 11 11:20:02 2008 @@ -2,19 +2,8 @@ File=QtopiaDefaults Context=Storage -[MountTable] -MountPoints="MountPoint0" - [HOME] Name[] = HOME Documents = 1 Applications = 0 ContentDatabase=1 - -[MountPoint0] -Name[] = SD Card -Path=/dev/mmcblk0p1 -Removable = 1 -Applications = 1 -Documents = 1 -ContentDatabase = 1 signature.asc Description: PGP signature ___ Openmoko community mailing list community@lists.openmoko.org http://lists.openmoko.org/mailman/listinfo/community

New Qtopia-Images fixes suspend problem nearly complete!
Hi fellows, I tested a few minutes ago with my Neo Freerunner the new qtopia image (4.32-080808) which was released yesterday. And I can report that the suspend problem is nearly completly fixed: * I can suspend * I can wakeup (pressing the startbutton) * After suspend I can make and recieve calls * It wakes up from suspend automatically when called and rings The only thing not working is: it wakes up from suspend when called and it rings but the screen stays totally white. You can't do anything with the phone but shuting it down (holding start button for a longer time) and rebooting. So a huge progress has been made on qtopia. Thanks to trolltech and the ppl involved on porting qtopia to the GTA02! This was my first try with qtopia and it's amazing how fast and fluent the usage is compaired to FSO or OM. Is my freerunner defect?
Hi, I read that yesterday someone asked the same question but there was no good answer. I don't know how full my freerunner is so I can't take it with me when I go out because I'm afraid it's going to be deep unloaded and bricked than. On the getting started guid is written we shall load our freerunner full when using it for the first time which is pretty funny if there's no possibilty to know how full the freerunner is at all. In the other post was written apm is broken? I flashed today a new kernel and FSO (milestone 2) image on my neo but still cat /proc/apm shows also for me -1% 1 at the end. apm -v shows APM BIOS 1.2 (kernel driver 1.13) and apm -V just shows apm version 3.2.1. cat /sys/devices/platform/bq2700-battery.0/power_supply/bat/time_to_full_now 3932100 cat /sys/devices/platform/bq2700-battery.0/power_supply/bat/status Not charging <--- but it's plugged via USB cat /sys/devices/platform/bq2700-battery.0/power_supply/bat/current_now 0 <--- no consumption at all?? But it's switched on ;) So with which kernel, apm is not broken and I can check how full my battery is? Or should it work with FSO 2 and my freerunner is just defect?
