Re: [Computer-go] Debugging Orego/KGS: "Unknown message type -105"
I have no idea about that message, but one thing I do before every tournament is make sure that I have the latest version of kgsGtp. [Computer-go] Debugging Orego/KGS: "Unknown message type -105"
I've finally gotten around to trying to address the issue that Orego faced in the December tournament. As you may recall, every time Orego played black (except the first time), it immediately passed. Looking at the kgsGTP log, I see some strange things. At the beginning of every game, this happens: FINEST: Command queued for sending to engine: time_settings 540 30 10 Dec 07, 2014 8:39:00 AM com.gokgs.client.gtp.a l WARNING: Opponent has left game. Will give them 5 minutes to return. Unknown message type -105 for channel org.igoweb.igoweb.client.gtp.c@cd3509c Dec 07, 2014 8:39:00 AM com.gokgs.client.gtp.GtpClient d FINEST: Got successful response to command "boardsize 13": = Dec 07, 2014 8:39:00 AM com.gokgs.client.gtp.GtpClient d Does anyone know what this means? Why does the opponent leave? What is the "unknown message type -105"? -- Peter Drake https://sites.google.com/a/lclark.edu/drake/ ___ Computer-go mailing list Computer-go@computer-go.org http://computer-go.org/mailman/listinfo/computer-go

To be fair, it is mentioned on the slides, though. On Wed, Feb 25, 2015 at 01:37:14PM +0100, Erik van der Werf wrote: > Well, at least Zen is on some slides in the presentation. I think _the_ resource people usually use is http://computer-go.info/h-c/index.html where I see no mention of Steenvreter, it might be a good idea to let Nick Wedd know if you want the matches against humans included in the history of Computer Go. :) I understand the frustration (after all, it would be nice to tell the audience about some strong open source programs too!), but let's realize that turning a popular Computer Go presentation to an address book style exhaustive listing of results or even (strong) programs probably wouldn't work well. IMHO one of the best way to improve public perception of Computer Go and set right any omissions is improving the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_Go Wikipedia article which has been in a pretty bad shape for long time now. -- Petr Baudis If you do not work on an important problem, it's unlikely you'll do important work. -- R.
