Bug#592244: [Pkg-varnish-devel] Bug#592244: libvcl.so existing in both packages
Andreas Tille ti...@debian.org writes: There was recently a discussion on debian-de...@l.d.o[1] concerning a similar case (bug #592242): Simply using conflicts is nont policy conform and should be avoided. I've spoken with my upstream, and was told that the only public API was in libvarnishapi.so, and that the rest of the *.so symbolic links were therefore not needed (if I understood it correctly). My next upload would then close this bug. -- Stig Sandbeck Mathisen ooo, shiny! pgpERkCtefYU9.pgp Description: PGP signature

Bug#592244: libvcl.so existing in both packages
Hello, /usr/lib/libvcl.so exists in both packages. They do not provide the same functionality, so Replaces: would probably not be proper. I suggest we add Conflicts: headers for varnish-dev and libvxl1-dev against each other, as I do not like the idea of renaming any of the libraries. -- Stig Sandbeck Mathisen ooo, shiny! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
