The reason is not that the file doesn't start with the `byte order mark'. No error occured before the day when the latex-cjk-common was installed on my etch.2006/10/31, Frank Küster

Here it comes Well, CJKutf8.sty immediately loads CJK.sty...I really can't see a reason why the above example fails with CJK.sty.Are you sure that the file doesn't start with the `byte order mark' (BOM, U+FEFF), which
some editors insert even for UTF-8 encoding? This is the byte sequence 0xEF 0xBB 0xBF.This must always be removed.Hm, I copied to code from one Emacs buffer where I read mail to theother, and saved it.My version of cat is completely UTF-unaware, but
in this case it displays the file without problems:~$ cat sid/cjkutf.tex\listfiles\documentclass[a4paper]{book}\usepackage{CJK}\begin{document}\tracingall\tracingonline0\begin{CJK}{UTF8}{songti}

2006-09-22 Thread gulfstream
Package: ldap-account-manager
Version: 1.0.4-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Today, after I upgrade my etch, the ldap-account-manager is unusable. When I
open http://127.0.0.1/lam; in the web browser, I can not get correct web page
and get some warning message, as below.

Warning: Wrong parameter count for class_exists() in
/usr/share/php/fpdf/fpdf.php on line 12

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by
(output started at /usr/share/php/fpdf/fpdf.php:12) in
/usr/share/ldap-account-manager/templates/login.php on line 89

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already
sent (output started at /usr/share/php/fpdf/fpdf.php:12) in
/usr/share/ldap-account-manager/templates/login.php on line 89

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output
started at /usr/share/php/fpdf/fpdf.php:12) in
/usr/share/ldap-account-manager/lib/config.inc on line 53

When I input the password and press login button, I can not enter any correct
page and get messages as below.

Warning: Wrong parameter count for class_exists() in
/usr/share/php/fpdf/fpdf.php on line 12

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by
(output started at /usr/share/php/fpdf/fpdf.php:12) in
/usr/share/ldap-account-manager/templates/login.php on line 89

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already
sent (output started at /usr/share/php/fpdf/fpdf.php:12) in
/usr/share/ldap-account-manager/templates/login.php on line 89

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output
started at /usr/share/php/fpdf/fpdf.php:12) in
/usr/share/ldap-account-manager/lib/config.inc on line 53

So I can not use ldap-account-manager to manage my ldap now.

Bug#457651: qemu: fails to use usb token product in virtual computer runs windowsxp

2008-02-06 Thread gulfstream
I have upgraded qemu to 0.9.1, but the error still occurs.

Best regards,
gulfstream

2007/12/25, gulfstream [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

 Package: qemu

 Severity: important

In order to use online bank services, I install a windowsxp in qemu

the usb token fine. I can view the certifcate which stores in the usb
token, but the internet explorer crash when internet explorer use the
certifcate stored in the usb token to encrypt and sign the messages of
online bank services without any informations. I suspect the issue was
lead by usb interface compatibility of qemu.

Bug#399831: hibernate: hang when wake up

2006-11-22 Thread gulfstream
Package: hibernate
Version: 1.94-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

My laptop is thinkpad x60s with sata hard disk. I want to use suspend2 and
hibernate to implement its suspend to disk and wake up. After I patch the linux
kernel with suspend2 and modify the syspend2.conf, I could suspend to disk with
hibernate command. But when I wake up the laptop, it hang. The last message of
startup as blew.

Suspend2 2.2.8.5: SwapAllocator: Singnature found.
Suspend2 2.2.8.5: Resuming enabled.

When the system hang, the harddisk led light a while, then the capslock led
flicker persistently.

Based on this log, hibernate doesn't get control back from suspend2.
Thus, I don't think the problem is with the hibernate package.

Please rerun hibernate with option -v4 and try to get the output to
me.

Does it work if you use the in-kernel suspend code
(uswsusp/ususpend)?

Otherwise I suggest that you contact the suspend2 mailing list about
this for further help debugging the problem.

Bug#524820: qemu: fails to use usb token product in virtual computer runs windowsxp

2009-04-20 Thread gulfstream
Package: qemu
Version: 0.10.1-1
Severity: normal

In order to use online bank services, I install a windowsxp in qemu because it
supports ie only. The transactions of online bank need a usb token to encrypt
and sign the messages. But the qemu does not support the usb token fine. I can
view the certifcate which stores in the usb token, but the internet explorer
crash when internet explorer use the certifcate stored in the usb token to
encrypt and sign the messages of online bank services without any informations.
I suspect the issue was lead by usb interface compatibility of qemu.

Best regards,

Bug#877519: Bluetooth mouse suspend while using cell

2017-10-02 Thread gulfstream
Package: laptop-mode-tools
Version: 1.71-2
Severity: important

I use my laptop (Thinkpad X1 Carbon 5th) with a bluetooth mouse. The mouse work
fine while the laptop runs with AC power supply. But The bluetooth mouse is a
trouble while the laptop runs with the embed cell. The mouse will suspend if it
is not be used after several seconds. So I want use the mouse, it must
reconnect to the laptop and spend several seconds. it is very inconvenient!

I find that the reason is bluetooth power saving of laptop mode tools. It can
be didabled in /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/runtime-pm.conf by item
"AUTOSUSPEND_RUNTIME_DEVID_BLACKLIST". After disabling, the bluetooth mouse
will not suspend while using cell.

I think that the bluetooth should not suspend because of bluetooth mouse. So I
advise you modify the runtime-pm.conf to add the bluetooth device to blacklist
by default for using bluetooth mouse.

Thank you very much!

Best regards,
Gulfstream

Bug#878250: CPU frequency can not be dynamic changed automatic

2017-10-11 Thread gulfstream
Package: src:linux
Version: 4.13.4-1
Severity: important

Hi, I upgraded my kernel from linux-image-4.12.0-2-amd64 to
linux-image-4.13.0-1-amd64 just now. Then I find that the CPU frequency can not
be dynamic changed automatic now, it is fixed at 2.90GHz. The frequency can be
changed from about 900MHZ to 3GHz automatic while cell is used in kernel
linux-image-4.12.0-2-amd64, but it does not work in linux-image-4.13.0-1-amd64.

Would you please fix this problem? Thank you very much!

Best regards,

Bug#939489: bumblebee fails to disable discrete graphics card after upgrade nvidia driver to 430.40-2

2019-09-05 Thread gulfstream
Package: bumblebee-nvidia
Version: 3.2.1-20
Severity: grave

I upgrade my debian just now. The nvidia-driver and other nvidia packages were
upgraded to 430.40-2. Then I found that bumblebee fails to disable discrete
graphics card. We can not run opengl software with command "optirun", and when
I run "lspci -nn | grep VGA", I got the message:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:3e94]
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation GP107GLM [Quadro
P2000 Mobile] [10de:1cba] (rev al)

It seem that the nvidia video card can not be disabled.

My laptop is Thinkpad P1. How do I resolve this error?

Thank you very much!

Bug#954905: Can not using optirun to access second GPU and run opengl program

2020-03-25 Thread gulfstream
Package: bumblebee
Version: 3.2.1-22
Severity: grave

My laptop has two GPU, the first is intel GPU, the second is NVIDIA Quadro
P2000 Mobile.

After I install bumblebee, the second GPU can be shut down.

When I want to run opengl program with the second GPU, I run the program using
optirun, for example:

$optirun glxgears

But the opengl program can not be run, and error message is got:

$ optirun glxgears

Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module. Please see the

[ 871.970883] [ERROR]Aborting because fallback start is disabled.

And the second GPU is turned on. If I use lspci command, the message is got as
below.

$ lspci -nn | grep VGA

Then, I run nvidia-smi, and get the messages:

I have pgraded the VLC to 3.0.12-2, and found that the RTSP stream could not be
play with the message "[7fe1c0001680] satip stream error: Failed to setup

Bug#824981: network-manager: Can not connect broadband using Sierra Wireless EM7455

2016-05-21 Thread Gulfstream Wang
Package: network-manager
Version: 1.2.2-1
Severity: important

After I complete a new mobile broadband connection, the dialog for input mobile
broadband password is showed (see the attachment file). The "Connect" button can
not be pressed unless anything is filled in the dialog.
But my provider is not need any username and password.

If I edit the configuration file in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections,
delete the username and password. Then connect, the connection can not be
established, and I get an error message in daemon.log.

The error message is like blew.

 (NetworkManager:902): NetworkManager-wwan-CRITICAL **: modem_prepare_result:
assertion 'state == NM_DEVICE_STATE_PREPARE' failed

My laptop is Thinkpad X1 carbon 4th Gen with Debian testing, the mobile
broadband slot is embed.

Thanks to everyone!
